I'll strum once and the sound will take 5 seconds to hit garageband, then 20 seconds later i'll strum again and the sound will take no time at all. but garageband won't actually get the sound until several seconds later or almost immediately. I verified that the device and wires are okay by plugging it into my ibook g4 with os x 10.3.9 and garageband 1 on it and everything was crystal clear. You can take any video, trim the best part, combine with other videos, add soundtrack. The other night I plugged the device into my core 2 mac mini that is running os x 10.4.11 and garageband 3.0.4 and I hear quick buzzing sounds every once in a while while the device is plugged into that computer. I have used my firewire solo box to record music reliably on several mac computers over the past two years.
